Surely your web site should refer to Line of sight, not Line of site?

Line of sight can be calculated by ur height of ur radio tower antennas ,square root of the height X 4.125 = LOS
our radio tower in Klerksdorp is ontop of a hill. the hill is 70 mtrs above normal areas and the tower is 30mtrs high , So squareroot off 100mtrs is 10 X 4,125 = 41km That is the minumin distance. From the radio Tower i can see at least 50 to 60 km far. our wireless have been tested till 20km away, with good signals and 500kbps througput.

For wireless 2,4Ghz i can pick up Wifi signals from 5 to 8 km away with my Nokia 9300i phone when i get 10 mtr above ground .
just dont expect miracles when u use a vertical antenna at the AP.
the world record is 201km with 100mW and 12 foot parabolic antennas.

email me for any info.
